Printing errors in exam papers

Matriculants who faced challenges due to printing errors in exam papers have received appropriate compensation, assured Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga. EWN reports that the acknowledgement came after Umalusi, the regulatory body, reported on Monday that specific exam papers, particularly in Limpopo, exhibited printing errors or translation issues.

Umalusi further confirmed that affected students were awarded marks for the questions plagued by mistakes. Minister Motshekga emphasised the department’s proactive approach to identifying and addressing these errors, ensuring no adverse impact on the candidates.

As nearly a million individuals await their matric results, approved by Umalusi, the resolution of printing errors underscores the commitment to fair examination processes.
