Step into a front-row glimpse of the much-awaited 2023 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz event! Picture a lineup featuring talented musicians like Buhlebendalo, Langa Mavuso, Zoe Modiga, McCoy Mrubata, and Billy Monama, all under one roof. Attendees at the lineup announcement were treated to an exciting teaser preview jam session as reported b the Times Live.

This premier jazz event, now in its 24th year, promises to be a memorable experience hosted at the prestigious Sandton Convention Centre on September 29 and 30. Over the years, the festival has built a rich legacy, becoming a second home for jazz enthusiasts who truly breathe and love jazz music.

Festival CEO and producer Mantwa Chinoamadi expressed her heartfelt gratitude, giving special thanks to the stakeholders whose support made the event possible. She warmly acknowledged Standard Bank, their long-standing partner for over 20 years, whose dedication to the art of jazz is truly appreciated.

Chinoamadi also extended her gratitude to partners Arena Holdings and MNS Attorneys, whose contributions ensure the event stays on cue. Proudly South African and SAMPRA institutions in the music industry joined as enthusiastic supporters, adding to the pride of this proudly South African event.

The festival also received acknowledgement from the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture and the Tourism Authority of the Gauteng provincial government, who recognized this event as the place where real jazz thrives.

Adding to the excitement, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi officially endorsed the event, announcing a three-year partnership. He enthusiastically urged all jazz lovers to attend the event if it’s in Gauteng, highlighting his commitment to creating more opportunities and excitement in the region.

He confirmed T-Musicman as a partner for three full years, emphasising their investment in this beloved product that deserves unwavering support.
