In a tragic incident, an Alberton mother and son, identified as Nadine Terblanche (34) and Ruandré Vorster (9), were found dead in their home on Langenhoven Street, Randhart. The gruesome discovery was made by a man, believed to be the homeowner, upon his return to the house. Their bodies bore signs of injuries, and the man, confronted by the gardener wielding an axe, managed to alert CPS Security officers, leading to the gardener’s swift apprehension.

Today, a 37-year-old man faces charges in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court following his arrest in connection with the murders. Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo revealed that the motive behind the killings is yet to be confirmed. The relationship between the homeowner and the victims remains unknown at this stage.

Ruandré, a Grade Three learner at Laerskool Randhart, received condolences from the school via their Facebook page, expressing deep sympathy to the Vorster and Terblanche families. The incident has left the community in shock, awaiting further details and possible insights into the tragic event that claimed the lives of a mother and her young son. #restinpeace
