Why the outages are happening
Eskom said the interruptions are necessary to perform maintenance on its distribution power lines.

The utility has encouraged residents to plan accordingly for each of the five affected days. Eskom also noted that should circumstances beyond its control arise, the planned maintenance may not proceed as communicated.
Practical takeaways
- Expect interruptions in Moloto 1 South on the listed July dates between 09:30 and 18:30.
- Treat appliances as live during the outage and plan activities that require power accordingly.
- Be aware the schedule could change if unforeseen circumstances occur.
