KwaDukuza municipality gets R1.2bn for flood repairs

KwaDukuza Municipality has received R1.2 billion in funding for flood repairs, with an estimated 401 further projects to be undertaken. The funds were confirmed by KDM mayor Lindile Nhaca and will be included in the final budget for the 2023/24 financial year as reported by The North Coast Courie.

The funding comes from the National Disaster Management Centre, following a proposal submitted by the municipality.

The timeline for repair work is currently unclear, but residents can expect more information during the public participation process of the budget over the next month.
