Veteran actor Patrick Ndlovu, known for his remarkable talent and captivating performances, has passed away. TimesLIVE reports that his agency, Moonyeenn Lee Associates (MLA SA), confirmed his death, which stated that Ndlovu died of natural causes on Tuesday, May 30.

In a heartfelt statement, MLA SA expressed deep sadness over losing the legendary actor, describing him as a consummate professional and majestic talent. They praised his kind and gentle nature, noting his unwavering smile even during challenging times. The agency extended its condolences to Ndlovu’s wife, family, and friends, emphasising his profound impact on those who knew him. “We will miss you Patrick. RIP,” concluded the statement.

Ndlovu is survived by his wife, Kellina Sonto Ndlovu, his daughter, Nomvuyo Ndlovu, and two daughters from previous relationships. With a career of over four decades, Ndlovu has left an unforgettable mark on the entertainment industry.

He is most remembered for his iconic roles, such as Sizwe Moloi in the SABC1 drama series Zone 14 and the portrayal of Mr Thembu, a school principal, in the top-rated TV series Yizo Yizo. More recently, his appearance on etv’s Durban Gen earned him the title of “meme king” after images of his character went viral online.
