Sebokeng cash-in-transit heist death toll now nine

Police acted on a tip-off and raided a gang suspected of cash-in-transit heists in the area. Eight suspects died on site, while another passed away in the hospital due to injuries sustained as reported by Jacarandafm.

Police Minister Bheki Cele visited the crime scene and reported that the suspects opened fire on the police, resulting in their response.

The police confiscated six firearms, and four of the suspects were critically injured.

The deceased suspects’ backgrounds are being investigated, with one found to be from KwaZulu-Natal.

Two suspects remain in critical condition.
