A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a Sibanye-Stillwater employee, sending shockwaves through the West Rand community. The incident, which occurred at the Leseding hostel, involved the perpetrator fatally stabbing the victim, slashing his throat with a small knife, and later taking selfies with the lifeless body, as reported by eyewitnesses. Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya confirmed the arrest and explained that the suspect, who is also an employee of Sibanye-Stillwater, will face murder charges and is scheduled to appear in the Westonaria Magistrate’s Court on November 13.
