Home Affairs extends Zimbabwe exemption permit to December
In a welcome relief for thousands of Zimbabweans residing in South Africa, the Department of Home Affairs has announced that the ZEP permit has been extended until December.

This decision comes after an anxious wait for many individuals concerned about their legal status in the country, as the previous deadline for the ZEP would expire this month.
Previously, Eyewitness News reported that a Zimbabwean woman applied for a waiver in September 2022 but has yet to receive notice of the outcome.
