Fire Trucks in Short Supply During Joburg’s Fire Season. According to the city’s emergency services, half of Joburg’s fire stations do not have firefighting engines as the fire season approaches as reported by ENCA.

The ideal situation is to have at least one engine at each of the 35 stations, but the service has been forced to allocate resources to high-risk areas due to scarcity.

The spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, confirmed the shortage of turnout vehicles necessary to respond to fire incidents and motor vehicle accidents.
