Siya Kolisi in Peru: Minister of Enjoyment Steals the Show at Best Friend’s Wedding

From World Cup glory to wedding party royalty, Siya Kolisi continues to live up to his title as South Africa’s Minister of Enjoyment – and this time, he took his infectious energy all the way to Peru.
The Springbok captain touched down in South America to celebrate the wedding of his best friend Nicholas Holton, and true to form, Kolisi didn’t just attend – he owned the moment. From leading the bridal crew onto a lifeboat to dancing late into the night, Kolisi brought signature South African flair to the Andes.

Dancing, Friendship, and a Bit of Waka Waka
Dressed to impress and radiating charisma, Kolisi had fans smiling across timelines as he dropped smooth moves at the reception – including a throwback to Shakira’s “Waka Waka.” His Instagram post – simply captioned “Thank you, Holtons” – showed the kind of joy that can’t be faked. One follower put it perfectly: “Siya is such a happy dude, man.”
But this was more than just a party. Kolisi’s bond with Holton runs deep, rooted in their time at Grey High School. Holton helped him navigate his early academic challenges, visited Kolisi’s home in Zwide, and embraced his world with genuine respect. It’s the kind of friendship that not only stood the test of time – but was powerful enough for Kolisi to name his son after him.
Their brotherhood was also spotlighted in Rise: The Siya Kolisi Story on Showmax, where Kolisi credits Holton as one of the key people who helped shape his life.

Hola, Me Llamo Siya
When he wasn’t on the dance floor, Kolisi soaked up the local culture. He roamed the colourful streets of Cusco, explored art at Grada Gallery, and even gave his followers a crash course in travel-Spanish (“Hola, me llamo Siya!”). Always the vibe, Kolisi joked his way up Peru’s high-altitude hills, dropping some classic Xhosa commentary: “Haai kuyafiwa!” (It’s rough!).
Kolisi also showed off his soccer skills, engaged with locals, and dove headfirst into Peru’s rich food scene – all while wearing a bucket hat that reminded everyone he’s still that grounded guy from the Eastern Cape.
Life Beyond the Pitch
Since announcing his separation from Rachel Kolisi in late 2024, Siya appears to be embracing what matters most: friends, family, and good times. This trip wasn’t a publicity tour – it was a celebration of loyalty, love, and personal growth.
Whether it’s leading the Springboks on the field or dancing in a lifeboat in Peru, Siya Kolisi is the kind of person who makes any space brighter. Siya Kolisi may light up every room with his energy, but it’s his down-to-earth charm that truly wins people over.
And honestly, in a world that’s always rushing, Siya reminds us how to stop and celebrate – even if it’s halfway across the world.
