Transport options and parking
Superintendent Fihla urged spectators to use alternative transport instead of private vehicles, noting limited parking at the stadium.
“Limited parking will be available at the stadium, and we anticipate heavy traffic, making alternative options the most convenient and efficient way to get to and from the match,” he said.
Park-and-Ride
A dedicated Park-and-Ride bus service will operate from 1pm to 3pm, with the final return bus leaving the stadium no later than 8pm. Pick-up locations listed by the JMPD are:

- Mall of Africa
- Centurion Mall
- Menlyn Park
- Greenstone Shopping Centre
- East Rand Mall
- The Glen Shopping Centre

Shuttles, trains and e-hailing
The JMPD said taxi shuttle services will operate from designated parking areas at Eastgate Mall and St John’s College in Houghton Estate. Gautrain will carry spectators to Park Station, where PRASA services will operate to Ellis Park Train Station. Designated drop-off and pick-up zones for e-hailing users will be in effect at Umjantshi House on Wolmarans Street, Braamfontein.
Traffic control support
Outsurance/Traffic Free Flow personnel will be deployed to assist with traffic control at critical intersections leading to the stadium, according to the JMPD.
Readers travelling to or through the New Doornfontein area on the match weekend should expect heavy traffic and follow official directions from JMPD personnel and signage.
