The Joburg Chamber Music Collective is delighted to present an evening of musical enchantment with Zanta Hofmeyr (violin), Malané Hofmeyr-Burger (flute), and Erika Bothma (piano) in their captivating program designed to welcome the Summer season, as reported by Allevents.

Program Highlights:
The repertoire features a vibrant sonata for violin, flute, and keyboard in C major by Johan Christoph Friedrich Bach, showcasing the musical prowess of Johann Sebastian Bach’s fifth son. Additionally, the audience will be treated to the kaleidoscopic Five Pieces Op. 56 by César Cui, along with beloved melodies crafted by Ennio Morricone, Fritz Kreisler, S. le Roux Marais, and John Rutter, among others.

Zanta Hofmeyr (Violin): A distinguished Juilliard School graduate under Dorothy Delay and Ho Kang, Zanta has made her mark with a New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall. Renowned as an acclaimed soloist, she has graced stages with concerti by Britten, Beethoven, Bruch, Homer, and Mendelssohn, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the classical music scene.

Malané Hofmeyr-Burger (Flute): Celebrated flautist and competition winner, Malané’s journey includes studying in Vienna and collaborating with major South African orchestras. Her dedication to music education and her contributions to chamber music, including the albums ‘Air’ and ‘African Rondo,’ have earned her accolades, including South African Music Award (SAMA) nominations.

Erika Bothma (Piano): Holder of Music Education and Performance degrees, including a Doctor Musicae specializing in chamber music, Erika is a distinguished pianist with a UNISA Performance Licentiate in piano with distinction. Her extensive chamber music background, collaborations with renowned musicians, and role as a senior lecturer at Nelson Mandela University highlight her profound contributions to instrumental music excellence.
