Johannesburg Set to Host 17th Edition of International Golf Tournament

The City of Johannesburg is gearing up for the 17th edition of the prestigious Joburg Open International Golf Tournament, set to take place at the renowned Houghton Golf Club from November 23 to November 26, as reported by Joburg Newsroom.

The Houghton Golf Club, known for hosting eight SA Open events, is a fitting venue for the event, attracting top golfers globally. Behind-the-scenes preparations are underway, including strategic advertising to draw spectators. Defending champion Dan Bradbury and past winners Branden Grace, Joachim Hansen, and Thriston Lawrence are among the confirmed participants.

The tournament, co-sanctioned by the Sunshine Tour and DP World Tour, features a Pro-Am on November 21, followed by four days of competitive play. The event contributes significantly to the city’s economy and job creation, making it a must-attend for golf enthusiasts. Tickets are available for purchase on the Sunshine Tour website, with organisers encouraging strong local support for a spectacular finish.
