Pair Penalised with R20,000 Each for Speeding Offenses

Morudi Mogashoa, aged 40, hailing from Selection Park, and Sifiso Dhladhla, aged 42, residing in Kwa-Thema, recently found themselves facing legal consequences for their speeding offences. Each of them was issued a substantial fine of R20,000, with an alternative of serving a six-month prison sentence.

Their infractions occurred when they were caught driving at a speed of 111km/h in an area along the R554 that was designated with a posted speed limit of 70km/h. Following their apprehension, both individuals were promptly placed under arrest.

This incident unfolded on July 21, and the sentencing was delivered on August 8. The proceedings took place in the Brakpan District Court, where both Mogashoa and Dhladhla pleaded guilty to the charges of exceeding the speed limit, acknowledging their wrongdoing in the matter.
