Springs Scheduled for Planned Power Outage

Spring's power outage

The City of Ekurhuleni announced Springs’s power outage, which will also occur in surrounding areas on February 28, will last 14 hours. This outage is part of Eskom’s planned maintenance work.

CoE has issued a caution, advising residents to treat all electrical networks as live during this period. The power supply will be switched off from 09:00 to 23:00 to facilitate the maintenance activities.

Affected areas include Struisbult, Selection Park, Selection Park Industries, Selcourt, Daggafontein, Nuffield, Distel/Heineken, Bevcan, and Element Six. The CoE assured residents that it would try to restore power promptly after completing the maintenance work.

However, there is no guarantee that the deadline will be met, and work will continue until Eskom’s urgent maintenance tasks are finished. It’s essential to exercise caution and treat all electrical networks and equipment as live throughout the maintenance activities.
