In Midrand, unlicensed firearms and suspected stolen vehicles were confiscated during Operation O Kae Molao, which was led by Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela as reported by South African Police Service.

During a roadblock, police arrested a man possessing a rifle and ammunition, and a truck with tampered vehicle identification numbers was seized.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of over 40 undocumented foreign nationals and the closure of unlicensed liquor outlets.

Lieutenant General Mawela urges the community to report criminal activities and be the “eyes and ears” of the police.
