In a recent court ruling, Basetsana Kumalo has welcomed the sentencing of controversial author Jackie Phamotse to two years of house arrest, considering it a triumph for citizens nationwide. Last September, the Randburg Magistrates Court found Phamotse guilty of criminal defamation, crimen injuria, and contempt, stemming from comments she made about Kumalo and her husband, Romeo Kumalo, on X in 2018, involving an alleged sex tape with a young rapper, according to EWN.
