A resident of Ndwedwe in KwaZulu-Natal has won R128,593,394.50 after purchasing a R30 PowerBall ticket at a Boxer store in the iLembe District, Sizekhaya has confirmed.

How the winning ticket was bought and checked

The ticket that produced the jackpot for the PowerBall draw held on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 was bought at a Boxer outlet. The winner manually selected his numbers, choosing a combination based on important dates and personal milestones.

He watched the live PowerBall draw on e.tv and later waited until the following day to verify his ticket at an authorised Sizekhaya retailer.

Prize details and winning numbers

The unnamed player correctly predicted the five main numbers and the PowerBall bonus ball to walk away with R128,593,394.50. The numbers drawn were 2, 10, 22, 28 and 49, with the bonus ball 7.

Winner reaction and plans

The winner described his reaction to seeing the draw results:

“I could hardly believe what I was seeing. As each number appeared, I became more and more convinced that something extraordinary was happening. When the final numbers were drawn, I was overwhelmed with disbelief.”

He said the jackpot would allow him to provide greater security and stability for his family after experiencing lengthy periods of unemployment, and that his immediate priorities include home improvements and creating a more comfortable living environment.

Speaking about what the win means to his family, he said:

“This win means everything to me and my family. It gives us an opportunity to build a better future and create lasting opportunities for generations to come.”

Sizekhaya confirmed that major jackpot winners will have access to Extended Support Services, including professional trauma counselling and financial advisory assistance.

A Sizekhaya spokesperson commented:

“We are delighted for our winner and his family.”
