Carlswald Resident Claims Neglect by North Life Estate Over Sewer Leaks
Carlswald North Lifestyle Estate (CNLE) is under fire as a Carlswald resident accuses them of neglecting sewer leaks, sparking fury. Allegations point to constant sewer leaks from CNLE, infuriating resident Vijay Moodley. Moodley claims the leaks have been ongoing for over three years without resolution. “The recurring sewer leaks stem from the estate,” Moodley asserts, highlighting the unhygienic conditions it creates. She plans to escalate the matter to higher authorities due to what she perceives as negligence by the estate.

However, estate manager Denzil Pillay refutes the allegations, stating that the issue concerns the municipal sewer infrastructure. He emphasises that CNLE has reported the issue to the relevant authorities and seeks a long-term solution. While acknowledging the leak, Joburg Water disputes the frequency claimed by residents and assures ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
