Phalane murder

Gauteng police have arrested two suspects believed to be linked to the Phalane murder. The 5-year-old was killed on Friday during a hijacking incident outside their home in Soshanguve. As per Jacaranda FM, it is reported that Ditebogo was shot while welcoming his father home. Both suspects are facing a charge of an unlicensed firearm, with a possibility of more charges being added. Gauteng police commissioner Tommy Mothombeni says the third suspect is still on the run. “As we pounced into that house, we could not find the suspects, we found the vehicle. This vehicle is reported stolen in Mabopane and it is a vehicle that is linked to the commission of the Phalane murder where the 5-year-old was fatally wounded.”

Mothombeni briefed the media on the case’s developments on Thursday morning. He said more arrests are imminent.
