The coordinated effort, involving multiple law enforcement agencies, led to the discovery of stolen police attire, firearms, and other critical evidence implicating the suspect. Noteworthy findings included a hijacked vehicle, confiscated blue lights, ammunition, and fraudulent government vehicle plates found during the search. Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, the police spokesperson, confirmed the suspect’s arrest on charges such as possession of unlicensed firearms and hijacked vehicles, with the potential for further arrests in the future.

This development follows a series of incidents in which motorists were victimised by individuals masquerading as law enforcement officers, emphasising the urgent need to address these security concerns.
