Traffic Disrupted in Ekurhuleni Due to Mayonnaise Spill

Traffic disruptions hit Ekurhuleni as the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) advises motorists to seek alternative routes due to delays on the R21 North at Pomona onramp. According to Jacaranda FM, a truck accident on Monday resulted in a spillage of mayonnaise on the highway, leading to public looting.

EMPD spokesperson Mari Mashishi reports that only one lane is currently open on the R21 North at Pomona, with the onramp remaining closed. According to Sanral estimates, clearing the highway may take up to four to five hours until around 11 am.
