All SASSA grant payment dates and amounts for July 2026

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the payment schedule for six grant types for July 2026 and published the approved grant amounts.

Who is affected and which grants are included

SASSA’s confirmed payments cover six grant types: the older persons’ grant, disability grant, child support grant, care dependency grant, war veterans grant and foster care grant.

Confirmed payment dates for July 2026

SASSA released the approved payment dates for July 2026 as follows:

• Older person’s grant Thursday, 2 July 2026
• Disability grant Friday, 3 July 2026
• Child support grant Monday, 6 July 2026 (the 4th and 5th fall on a weekend)

Grant amounts for July 2026

SASSA’s approved amounts for July 2026, reported from statuschecklive, are:

• Older person’s grant R2 400 for ages 60 to 74; R2 420 for beneficiaries aged 75 and older
• Disability grant R2 400
• Care dependency grant R2 400
• War veterans grant R2 420
• Foster care grant R1 290
• Child support grant R580
• Grant-in-aid R580

SASSA outreach programme cancellation

The Integrated Community Registration Outreach Programme (ICROP) that was scheduled for Friday, 26 June 2026 at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex in Sebokeng has been cancelled. The agency did not give a reason for the cancellation.

What SASSA said about monthly payment timing

According to SASSA, the older age grant is mostly paid on the second of each month, the disability grant on the third and the child support grant on the fourth, or on the following working day if those dates fall on a weekend or public holiday.
