Police Seize Drugs Worth R800,000, Arrest South African and Nigerian Men at Houghton Hotel in Joburg

In Joburg, the police detained South African and Nigerian men in connection with the drug trade. In the drug bust, a 48-year-old Nigerian and a 43-year-old South African were arrested at the Houghton Hotel, as per IOL. The JMPD and the Hawks jointly took on a mission to control drugs that were supposed to be used in the hotel. The operation finally ended with the apprehension of close to five kilograms of crystal meth from the hotel room.

Seized drugs with a value of approximately R800 000 in the locality are expected to be on the street. Both suspects have been in custody at Norwood SAPS due to this investigation. The operation mentioned above, which ended with the arrest of all suspects, entails the significance of collaborative efforts in the fight against crime related to drugs. An identical development is that an old female was apprehended in the Brackendowns area of Alberton for drug offences.
