A Wife, a Middleman, and a Hitman: Trio Arrested for Principal’s Murder
In a shocking twist to a murder that rattled a small Eastern Cape community, police have arrested three suspectsincluding the 52-year-old wife of the victimfor the killing of a 59-year-old Flagstaff school principal. The arrests point to a calculated plot, with police also apprehending an alleged hitman and a middleman.
The principal was killed on 19 November 2025. The breakthrough came in the early hours of Tuesday when police, acting on information, arrested a 35-year-old alleged hitman at Luqoqweni locality in Lusikisiki. During the arrest, they recovered an unlicensed 9mm pistol with an erased serial number and 14 live rounds of ammunition.
A Coordinated Takedown
Following this arrest, the investigation team moved to Flagstaff, where they apprehended a 40-year-old alleged middleman and, subsequently, the principal’s own wife. The trio now faces charges of murder and conspiracy to murder.
