A Wife, a Middleman, and a Hitman: Trio Arrested for Principal’s Murder

In a shocking twist to a murder that rattled a small Eastern Cape community, police have arrested three suspectsincluding the 52-year-old wife of the victimfor the killing of a 59-year-old Flagstaff school principal. The principal was killed on 19 November 2025. The breakthrough came in the early hours of Tuesday when police, acting on information, arrested a 35-year-old alleged hitman at Luqoqweni locality in Lusikisiki. During the arrest, they recovered an unlicensed 9mm pistol with an erased serial number and 14 live rounds of ammunition.

Following this arrest, the investigation team moved to Flagstaff, where they apprehended a 40-year-old alleged middleman and, subsequently, the principal’s own wife. The trio now faces charges of murder and conspiracy to murder.
