Multiple arrests made for speeding offenses across Johannesburg

There have been ten arrests for speeding in Johannesburg in a crackdown on reckless driving yesterday, sending a strong message against lawlessness on the roads.

As per Arrive Alive, six motorists were apprehended on the N14 between William Nicol and Malibongwe in Lion Park, with the highest recorded speed of 171km/h in a 120km/h zone.

Another four motorists were nabbed by officers from the JMPD High-Speed Unit at Malibongwe and Hill Road in Randburg, with the highest speed clocked at 161km/h in an 80km/h zone.

All suspects have been detained, with some held at Sandton SAPS and others at Randburg SAPS, as authorities prioritize road safety and stress the non-negotiable nature of compliance with traffic regulations.
