In a decisive legal development, the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court handed down a sentence on November 6 to a hitman associated with the notorious serial killer Rosemary Ndlovu. As outlined by Kelebogile Thepa, the spokesperson for the EMPD (Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department), the 36-year-old man had been apprehended in December of the preceding year by the EMPD Northern Region Community Liaison Unit.
The charges against him encompassed hijacking and the possession of a hijacked motor vehicle. Following due legal proceedings, the court delivered a substantial judgment, sentencing the individual to 10 years of imprisonment.
The significance of the guilty verdict and the subsequent sentencing was underscored by Thepa, who emphasised that this outcome sends a robust message that acts of lawlessness will not be tolerated within the jurisdiction. This legal action is a crucial step in addressing criminal activities associated with Rosemary Ndlovu and serves as a deterrent, affirming the commitment to upholding the rule of law in the community.
