Bradford Road Hole Fixed

Whittaker Way and Bradford Road residents in the metro area were left frustrated after a gaping hole remained uncovered for three weeks following repairs to a water leak. According to an article published on April 26, the delay caused inconvenience for motorists and pedestrians, leading to concerns about safety. The report also alleged that residents had unsuccessfully appealed to the city for assistance during this period.

Finally, on April 24, the metro attended to the hole. Still, instead of covering it, they left it open, causing further chaos. In response to the incident, Zweli Dlamini, a spokesperson for the metro, stated that the water and sanitation department had filled the excavation.

In light of the inconvenience caused, the city apologised, acknowledging the delay in restoring the area to its previous condition.
