Boksburg North SAPS station commander Colonel Mack Mngomezulu revealed in his statement that two robbers entered the restaurant and carried out the robbery while the other two accomplices waited nearby.

According to Mngomezulu, the robbers attacked two security guards.

Injured workers were then transported to the hospital. However, the severity of their injuries was not specified.

Luckily, no shots were fired during the robbery.

Security guards tried to capture the suspects, chased them from the Rietfontein Road and lost them near the Griffiths off-ramp.

Teclo Kungugwe, an employee in the eatery, explained that the gunmen had started by posing as customers who wanted rice to buy, making the ordeal very helpless.

The police appeal to community members who may know something about this robbery to report them by calling Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or using the MySAPS app.
