Teenager Dies After Being Trapped in Shoprite Cold Room Overnight for Stealing Chocolate

A 13-year-old pupil has passed away after being allegedly confined in a cold room in a Shoprite supermarket in Heidelberg, in the southern parts of Gauteng. According to news24 via Instagram, the concerned HEP Heidelberg personal councillor Mari Boshoff revealed that the local customers threatened to burn the store down.

The case overview entails that the boy allegedly had a chocolate bar, and the store manager locked him inside the cold room. Various media houses have included confirmation from the police on the scene that the child passed away.
